"Officer Self-care:  Recognizing the need and implementing the strategy"

                      Liz Bradshaw, M.S., Fort Lauderdale Police Department

Self-care is the latest buzzword.  Everyone is talking about it, but few are doing it.  This training will provide information on the elements of officer stress, how to effectively communicate with officers under stress, and how to do officer self care as a way to recover and promote resiliency.  There will also be an afternoon scenario facilitated to practice these concepts and skills.
