Welcome to an association of law enforcement, mental health, criminal justice and corrections professionals, which is over 1300 members strong. The men and women who make up the membership are dedicated to crisis intervention in a variety of situations, which require a highly skilled negotiator to bring about a successful resolution.

Crisis negotiators are an elite group of individuals with a vast amount of experience, skills and knowledge. Conflict resolution is critical in the types of events that tend to require the use of tactical and negotiation teams. Keeping current with the skills necessary to effectively deal with these types of situations is paramount. The Florida Association of Hostage Negotiators believes that regular training in this area is necessary to stay abreast of changes in the laws, ideologies, practices and techniques.

The association periodically hosts regional training sessions throughout the state.  By joining, you will be placed on our electronic mail out system, so that you may be notified of such training. FAHN also participates with NCNA (National Council of Negotiators Association). This group is facilitated by the FBI with the purpose of bringing together the various Negotiation Associations around the country to share information, ideas and training concepts.

FAHN is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality training to hostage negotiators and first responders.
