Description:

This is a unique opportunity for Crisis Negotiation Teams from throughout the State of Florida to experience both a seminar and a hands-on application of crisis negotiation skills.

On Day 1, participants will attend a series of presentations relative to contemporary issues in crisis negotiation.

On Day 2, teams will participate in a scenario-driven competition. Up to 8 teams (6 negotiators each) may register. Other negotiators are encouraged to attend for training and observation purposes.

Individuals may register to be placed on an ad-hoc, multi-agency team.  Judging criteria will be provided to each of the teams prior to the event. Early registration is encouraged – a number of teams have expressed an interest in attending and we are limited in the number of teams who can participate. Teams participating in the competition must provide at least one judge to a judging pool.

Judges must have attended at least a 40-hour basic course and have at least 2 years of negotiation experience. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place teams.

All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

REGISTRATION FEE $80 for each participant

(1 free seat for each competing team that has a judge in the judge’s pool)
