COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This Course is designed for Public Safety Professionals and Investigators who utilize BTAM and Risk Protection Orders to mitigate and manage potential threats of Gun Violence in their communities.
The Instructor, Detective Christopher Carita, has 4 years in Threat Response and Risk Protection Order Implementation, and 10 years in Investigations in his 18-year career. He earned his Master of Public Health as a Bloomberg Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, and currently advises at the Center for Gun Violence Solutions on
Extreme Risk Protection Order Implementation and Training. Detective Carita is also a DHS Master Trainer for Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM).
